How do I use self storage efficiently? 

  • A self storage unit can be an extension of your home by placing seldom used items
  • To store seasonal items such as decorations or sports equipment
  • As a business storage solution to de-clutter your office
  • To free up garage space so you can actually park your car in it again
  • For the patio and other summer yard items over the winter months

 

 

How do I know what size I need? 

  • Create a list of items that you are going to be storing.  Visit the size guide to determine exactly what size you will need, and then check out the helpful tips for maximizing your storage space.

 

 

What is the minimum time to rent storage? 

  • The minimum time for self storage is the exciting month plus the following month and deposit. 

 

 

Do I have to put down a deposit? 

  • A deposit is required at time of moving in.  You will get back the deposit as long as to clean everything out the unit and sweep the unit.  The check is cut on the 15th of every month and mailed to the most current address on file.

 

 

Do I need to have a lock? 

  • You provide the lock ensuring that you, and only you, have access.  Don't have a lock?  No problem, we offer a stainless steel disc lock that can't be cut with bolt cutters.

 

 

I lost my key can you help me? 

  • EZ Stor will cut the lock off for you for a small fee just give us a call.

 

 

Do I need insurance for my stored goods? 

  • Yes, you are responsible for those items you store at EZ STOR.  You need to get a hold of your home owners or renters insurance agent and let him know you have a storage unit.  He may require some information from you but this is usually covered under your policy.

 

 

When can I get access to my unit? 

  • You have access to your unit 24/7.  They are well lighted and patrolled regularly.

 

 

What are the office hours and availability of the On-Site Manager? 

  • We have an on-site manager available from 8:30am till 4:30pm Monday thru Friday.  Our office is 750 - 4th Ave SW, Watertown.  We are across from the Utility Department off Hwy 20.  After hours call 605-882-1060 and leave a message.  You will receive a returned call the next business day.  Most weekends we have personal on call.

 

 

What is the difference from a roll up door and a fold over? 

  • Roll-up doors are very similar to garage doors and are accessed by sliding a latch and lifting the door upward.  We have roll-up doors on all building and some containers.
  • Fold over doors are very similar to doors on the back of semi trucks.  You open the right side first then the left side.  You always close the left side first then the right side and place the lock on the right door always.  These doors are only on containers.

 

 

Do you offer Parking for Cars, RV's, Boats, Trailers & Motorcycles? 

  • EZ Stor offers parking for storage of RV's boats, cars, trailers, and motorcycles in a gated area with only access with other stored parked vehicles.  To enter you would be given a security code, this prevents anyone not renting a parking spot from entering the facility.

 

 

Can I buy Boxes and other packing supplies from EZ Stor? 

  • Yes, EZ Stor offers a wide variety of boxes and packing supplies for your convenience.  Give us a call at 1-605-882-1060, and we will gladly give you a quote today.

 

 

What are the payment terms? 

  • EZ Stor wants to make your storage experience a stress-free experience, including paying your bill.  Typically, our leases are month-to-month.  We do not invoice out but offer automatically charge your MasterCard, Discover or VISA on the 1st of each month.  Or can call in with your card and make your payment over the phone.

 

 

Do you accept credit cards or Debt Cards? 

  • We accept several major credit or Debit cards, including MasterCard, Discover, and VISA.

 

 

Can I set up automatic payment? 

  • EZ Stor will automatically charge your Credit or Debt Card.  We accept several major credit or Debit Cards, including MasterCard, Discover, and VISA.
